Emisiunile monetare atribuite domniei lui Mihail I sunt ducați munteni, de un singur tip, similar cu tipul monedelor cu efigie emise de Mircea cel Bătrân. Monedele au legenda slavonă.

The coins atributed to the reign of Mihail I are ducats minted in the system of deniers and are similar to the coins with the ruler's portrait on obverse minted by his father, Mircea the Elder. The coins have the legend in Slavonian.

Av. Domn încoronat, stând în față, ține în mâna dreaptă lancea, în stânga globul cruciger. Poartă haină lungă, strânsă la mijloc.
Rv. Scut despicat, înclinat spre dreapta: I trei grinzi; II plin sau cu siglă. Pe colțul st. al scutului un coif deschis spre dr., deasupra acvila cu capul întors spre st. și aripile strânse.
